How do your subscription based products work?

All of our products are subscription based so you don’t have to come back to the website each week to order – you will automatically be charged weekly and you can cancel at any time.

How do I cancel my membership?

When viewing your subscription in your profile there will be a cancellation button that can be pressed and you can do this at anytime.

How many meals do I get per week and how much does it cost me?

We offer a variety of meal plan options and pricing to fit your personal needs. Please refer to our Homepage and click on the “Select Meals” link on the tool bar for more information on what options are available.

How do I sign up for my meal plan?

Simply go to our Homepage and click on the "Select Meals" option in the toolbar. This will take you to the ordering page. There you will select your portion size, your subscription renewal rate, your preferred delivery day, your days per week you need food and meals per day and finally your preferred start date. The days per week you need food and meals per day work on simple multiplication so, for example, if you select 4 days per week and 1 meal per day you will be getting 4 total meals delivered and if you select 4 days per week and 2 meals per day you will be getting 8 total meals delivered etc.

How will I know what will be on the menu every week?

Simply go to our Homepage and select "View Menu" from the toolbar. Here you can see a brand new menu every week. Please note: The menu is subject to change based on seasonality, freshness and availability of produce and ingredients.

What if I have a food allergy?

Our new system is great for people with dietary restrictions and food allergies! When you are first making your account you will be asked to list preferences. Here you can select everything from vegetarian only to whatever specific allergies you may have. Once your preferences are selected you will only see meals relating to those preferences when selecting your meals.

Can I choose my meals?

Yes! After you have purchased a subscription you will have the option to choose what meals you would like from our menu. If you do not choose, don't worry, meals will be selected for you automatically.

How are the meals packaged to ensure freshness?

All meals are packed in fully recyclable microwaveable containers with close-fitting lids. The containers are then packed into insulated cooler bags with pharmaceutical-grade ice packs. Each individual meal is labeled with nutritional information and heating instructions.

What is the shelf-life of the meals?

We recommend the meals be enjoyed within 3 days of your delivery to ensure the best taste and quality. While not ideal, the meals can be frozen for up to 2 weeks if you are not able to enjoy them within the first 3 days. Simply defrost in the refrigerator overnight and follow the labels’ heating instructions as normal.

When will I receive my first delivery?

You will receive your first delivery on the day that you select to be your start date at the end of the subscription checkout process. All start dates are the week following the current week. For example, if you were ordering a subscription during the first week of the month you would be able to select a Tuesday or a Thursday from the second week of the month. You have until 10 pm on Saturday to place orders in the current cycle.

How do I heat my meals?

Most of our meals heat wonderfully in the microwave. We recommend removing the entrees plastic lid and covering the meal with a paper towel. Most meals take between 1 ½- 2 minutes to heat completely through. Every now and then we will recommend a meal be rewarmed in a preheated oven for optimum quality.

At what time of day can I expect my meals to arrive?

Depending on the meal plan you choose, your meals will be delivered on Tuesday, Thursday or both days before 5 pm.

What do I do with my cooler and ice pack for each delivery?

You are responsible for leaving your cooler bag and ice pack out at your drop-off location for our driver to exchange with the next order. Each cooler bag will be clearly marked with the clients name to ensure you can keep track of your own coolers. A $5 charge will be added to your account if the cooler is not left for the delivery driver.

Is there a charge for the cooler bag and ice pack?

No. You do not have to pay a fee to buy the coolers. However, you are responsible to keep them damage free and to return them to Asheville Pro Kitchen should you cancel your membership. If a cooler bag needs to be replaced due to client negligence or is not returned at the conclusion of your membership, your account will be charged $15.

When and how will I be charged for my meal plan?

Once you establish your meal plan account, you will automatically be in our system to receive meals every week. Your chosen method of payment will be immediately processed to cover your first week of meals and will be automatically billed every seven days from the time of original purchase for the upcoming weeks’ meals for the duration of your membership. Please note: If you do not cancel or opt out for the next weeks’ meals before you cycle renews for the next week, your card will still be charged.

What is the refund policy?

Asheville Pro Kitchen wants you be 100% satisfied with the meals we deliver to you. If you ever receive a product that does not meet your standards, please contact us immediately to discuss a refund. If you feel your account was charged in error or you have other billing issues, please contact us directly to discuss.

What is the delivery area?

We currently deliver to Asheville, Weaverville, Hendersonville, Candler, and Black Mountain.

Can I suspend my membership?

If you do not want to receive meals for a week, you have the option to skip a week. If you no longer wish to receive meals at all, you have the option to cancel your subscription.

Cooler Bag Fee Policy

There is a $5.00 bag deposit on each delivery for the duration of your subscription that gets refunded when we collect the bag from the previous delivery day. Customers are responsible to leave their empty cooler bags outside for pick up on the next delivery day. If you have cancelled your subscription, please leave your bag out for pick up on Thursday to avoid a $10.00 cooler replacement fee.
